Khalil “Army” Armstead is the Program Director of CryptoHarlem, a community-based cybersecurity initiative empowering marginalized and impacted communities through privacy education, digital literacy, and cybersecurity awareness. With a deep commitment to justice, tech equity, and community power, Army brings years of experience in nonprofit leadership, grassroots organizing, and tech training. His work focuses on building accessible pathways into tech and protecting communities from digital surveillance and harm.

Roya L. Butler “7hr3” is a Senior Cybersecurity & Privacy Instructor with CryptoHarlem. Before entering the legal profession, she worked in software development, database administration, network administration, project management, and cybersecurity, and later helped build and manage a global educational media platform. Drawing on experience across technology, public service, and law, she is passionate about making cybersecurity and privacy education accessible, helping people stay safe online, and creating pathways for individuals from diverse backgrounds to pursue technology and cybersecurity careers.

Sarah Aoun is a Lebanese activist and human rights technologist. Currently, she is the Chief Technologist at the Open Technology Fund, an organization that funds projects focused on countering censorship and surveillance, and on advancing internet freedom. For the past several years, she has worked with activists, journalists, and high-risk communities on security and privacy. She has given numerous trainings on operational and digital security, and has worked with several groups and NGOs to set up organizational security practices. She was also a Ford-Mozilla Open Web Fellow (2017-2018), an Internet Freedom Fellow (2016-2017), an advisor to the Internet Freedom Festival, the Human Rights Foundation, and Global Journalist Security, and currently sits on the advisory council of Reset.
